Founded in 1999 Teatrino Giullare searches the idea of artificial actor as well as the exploration of expressiveness through the actor’s physical limit. Teatrino Giullare has already brought his shows in many countries around the world including Canada, Argentina, Uruguay, Guatemala, Ethiopia, Kenya… and has won prizes and awards including Premio Nazionale della Critica, Premio Speciale Ubu, Premio della Giuria, Premio Hystrio Altre Muse and Premio ‘Brave New World’ for the direction at the 47° Festival Internazionale di Teatro MESS Sarajevo. In this adaptation from the novel Die Liebhaberinnen by Elfriede Jelinek, the protagonist of the play is Love, Eros, with its anxieties and often hollow promises. Protagonist of the representation are also two lives, Brigitte’s, who works in a bras factory, and  Paula’s, a fifteen-year old girl who struggles against her parents to escape from her life. The first girl, Brigitte, has a clear idea: to win Heinz’s love. Paula on the other hand is more confused, but she falls in love too, as only love seems to give meaning to her life. The extraordinary language of the author, impetuous and sophisticated, is respected and intensified by the company. With a slight sarcasm and striking stage solutions, the performance of Teatrino Giullare plays with the miserable condition of the two women, mastered by men, perpetually possessed by lust and victims of their families.
